Thoughts of Redemptions ~ Visions of the Prophets

We are told that during the period of Israel’s Prophets, there were many prophecies—thousands.  Some were written for posterity, and some were not.  The difference was that some prophets were only speaking for their own time, concerning certain situations; those were not written down.  The ones that were written down were speaking to their own generation, as well as to generations to come.  Those prophecies had reverberating meaning, some to the very End of Days.

Heaven’s messages to Israel’s prophets were filtered through their imaginations.  These pictures helped them to understand the messages through familiar symbols.  Indeed, they would not have known how to describe scenes from modern times at all.  The symbols they saw were similar to those in dreams, which can be interpreted in a variety of ways.  However, these prophecies were so important that we can be sure Heaven protected them from being misunderstood by the messengers receiving and transmitting them.

Understanding that Heaven used imagination as the tool to filter the messages to the Prophets is helpful for us, as well.  When we think about Redemption, we use our imaginations to envision the possibilities.  This is a very positive use of imagination, for it is as a vessel for connecting with our Higher Soul.  Our own Higher Soul connects with the Divine Mind and with the collective universal consciousness.  The things of Redemption are outside of time and are known—eternally known—by the Higher Consciousness.

Remember the five levels of reality spoken of in a previous blog?—God, Neshamot, Spiritual, Physical, Zuhama.   The reality of Neshamot (Souls) is above the Spiritual (or Celestial) and just below that of God Himself.

What are mortals, that You should be mindful of them; human beings, that You should take note of them?  Yet You have set them just below God and crowned them with glory and splendor.  You made them rulers over Your handiwork; You set it all beneath their feet… ~ Psalm 8:5-7

This imagination of the Neshama is like that of Adam HaRishon—pure and Godly.  It is what enabled him to name the animals, for he could see into them in a way that even the angels were unable to do.  He was able to connect with the vision of the Creator.  So, too, the Prophets’ imagination was used by God to communicate messages concerning events in the world, as dictated by movements in Heaven’s Courts.

As we focus our hearts to understand these messages, we seek to purify our own imaginations.  This is a challenging task, because the things of zuhama mixture in our world can be quite deceptive.  Sometimes these things can lead a person to delusions of grandeur about himself or another person, such as a cult leader.  Sometimes reading the Prophets can cause a person to become alarmed and terrified, as events of our times instill anxiety and hopelessness.  However, we should realize that even when predicting the most devastating messages, the Prophets ended with messages of consolation and reassurance of God’s ultimate loving care.

At this time in history, we are so close to the times the Prophets foresaw, that we can actually perceive more detail through their words than they could.  This is what the Sages were referring to when they said that the times would come when even a child could see these things.  WE are those children!  As we contemplate the visions of the Prophets, they become our own visions—the outlines filled in with luminous colors.   As we meditate on what all these things mean and what that world of Redemption will look like, we create our own Redemption consciousness that evolves into a collective consciousness to form a vessel for Redemption to be realized.  This is because by doing this we raise our own vibration, and by connection, the vibration of our world.

As you let visions of Redemption fill your heart, what do you see?
